Due to our continuing growth, we are currently seeking an experienced PROJECT MANAGER in CT!

Summary: The Project Manager, working on behalf of the executive team, is responsible for leading and managing strategic projects approved by the executive committee and executing enterprise-wide projects.

 

Responsibilities:

1.       Lead and manage strategic projects using Six Sigma / Lean toolset for effective problem solving.

2.       Lead cross-functional teams focused on implementing solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s core processes (e.g. purchase to pay).

3.       Utilize resource pool planning and management.

4.       Plan and manage multiple related projects including, cost/benefit analysis of proposals, estimation of budgets, timelines, and resources required for successful and timely completion of projects.

5.       Measure processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes.

6.       Create proper business process designs and approaches

7.       Organize and manage multiple concurrent projects and work cross-functionally with managers and other leaders

8.       Develop project presentations, status reports, and measurement processes/standards in support of the staff

9.       Translate business requirements to system/application solutions

10.   Build Cost Benefit Analysis' in support of project selection process.

11.   Maintain strong business relationships with leadership team

12.   Deliver presentations

13.   Work with senior level Executives.

14.   Develop corrective actions and countermeasures to ensure projects deliver expected results.

15.   Monitor and analyze data and trends to identify potential opportunities, needs, issues, and problems that could impact business results.

16.   Break down work into process steps, develop schedules and work within time constraints.

17.   Works with Benefits Tracker to identify each project's financial impact and savings over a period of time.

18.   Performs other duties assigned

Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • BA/BS Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, Engineering Technology and or related field
  • Certified Six Sigma
  • Applied transactional project experience and project management
  • Minimum five years experience
  • Minimum four years of Process Improvement experience (Six Sigma/Lean Approach)
  • Proven ability to lead project teams to successful project completion and realization of the targeted benefits.

 

Knowledge Essential in the Position    

  • Supply chain
  • Understands the business and business strategy with a focus on business processes and transactional operations.
  • Project management skills
