Summary: Provides excellent customer service and handles sales through phone calls and counter customer contact. Helps to improve profitability of branch through increased sales and gross margin. Processes orders, sells products, and provides solutions for customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides sales and service to external customers. Identifies customers’ product needs. Provides solutions and recommends new and better products to meet customer needs. Researches price and delivery dates. Writes up sales orders and prepares invoices. 2. Helps to develop current customer base and establishes new customers through up-selling, quotation follow-up, and telemarketing to former and new customers. Promotes KIT, product initiatives, and shop services by making outbound telephone sales calls as appropriate. 3. Helps to improve branch performance through increased sales and gross margins. 4. Grows profitable market share by presenting value-added services and add-ons. Updates customers on new products. 5. Promotes and maintains effective working relationships with suppliers and customers. 6. Maintains productive relationship with outside sales force through positive teamwork. Works with all branch personnel to provide high level of service to customers. Participates in generating Document Savings opportunities. 7. Processes and expedites orders, customer returns and returns to vendors in an accurate and timely manner. Locates product and creates purchase orders. Follows-up with vendors, distribution centers and Purchasing Department to ensure timely delivery. 8. Resolves customers’ problems, investigates issues and refers to supervisor for resolution when necessary. Provides a high level of service to all customers. 9. Communicates effectively and participates positively as a member of the branch team. 10. Performs other duties as assigned. Accomplishes related results as needed.
Education – A minimum of a high school diploma is desired. Associates degree is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience – A minimum of 1-2 years in customer service or inside sales.
A valid driver’s license may be required.
